From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadow shall spring.
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Last summer days

I just recognized that I haven’t told you of our Sushi party, the departure of Marina for Finland and other things. :wall:

But well, I just want to keep it very short today. So if you want to see some pics from our Sushi party with Marina, Alex, Tom, Vlad and Simon, you may visit my Flickr album. I think it speaks more than words. ^^

Concerning Marina’s departure for Finland: It was sad (I had some tears in my eyes) but Marina now calls us via Skype everyday and she loves Helsinki. All her roommates and other friends there are very nice and she has a great time up in the North – visit her blog if you whish to see more. I think I am getting jealous. ;)

BUT Alex and I have planned to visit her in October and I am really looking forward to this trip as I never was in Helsinki and saw only its railway station. The flight tickets and the hotel are already booked. The flight is very cheap, only €177,46 hither and thither with Austrian Airlines. The hotel is not that cheap, but it is located in the center of Helsinki and has four stars, so nothing can go wrong.

Well, before I finish my post some pics of my last 7 hours trip from Hafelekar to Scharnitz over Pfeishütte and Möslalm are following. It was surely far, but my knees where the biggest problem, I can nearly walk down stairs a week later. I fear that I have to go to an orthopaedist to see what’s wrong – hopefully no surgery. :( And of course, I need new hiking shoes but had no luck in the LaFuma store in the Designer Outlet Brenner (D.O.B.). But summer is nearly over and I am positive to find shoes in another store in Innsbruck not too expensive.

What the hell is going on?

Wow, it’s now nearly two month since my last post, and believe me when I say that a lot of things – not all good – happened.

Exactly one month ago Alex was beaten up by a crazy ice hockey player and his friend in Hofgarten Cafe. He had a broken nose and jaw bone, and had therefore to stay two weeks in the hospital. The surgery took nearly five hours and was more complicated then the doctors thought. The Titanium plates may have to be removed in a year. Hopefully the guys have to pay for what they did. The police caught them and a court hearing will take place in approximately half a year. It will get interesting as the ruffians made false statements.

FinstertalspeicherAlex is now better again and we made a hiking tour on Sunday to Sulzkogel (3.016 m) in Kühtai. The weather wasn’t that good, and it became really bad before we could reach the mountain’s peak – we are not in a really good shape, and we prefered to turn around before we may get into a thunderstorm. So only Simon who ran as crazy up reached the top, Vlad, Alex and I stayed down on a height of 2.800 meters. Nevertheless it was a really nice tour and we will sure try another peak soon. ;)

Please enjoy the few pics I took – here’s the link to the Flickr album. :blackeye:
