The weird sisters, hand in hand,
Posters of the sea and land,
Thus do go about, about:
Thrice to thine and thrice to mine
And thrice again, to make up nine.
Peace! the charm’s wound up.

Nintendo DS Lite White

One might wonder what I was doing lately. But to be honest, not much.

I was working and doing nothing spectacular. I had an exam that went quite well, and I prepared myself for the upcoming holidays that I will spend in Helsinki. To this preparation a new suitcase with beauty case may count as well as the investment in a Nintendo DS Lite. To be true, I thought long about buying that thing, but I had a Gameboy Color and it seemed rather childish to play with such a device. But finally I couldn’t resist – and now, I am a proud owner of a white NDS Lite. Only downer is the fact that the console will be cheaper next month, but I found this out three days after I bought it. With the device I also bought the Games “Pokémon Pearl” and “Dragon Quest IV – The Chapters of the Chosen“.

Pokémon Pearl is very similar to the old games (Red/Blue/Yellow and Silver/Gold Version) I was playing on my GBC. Of course, the region changed again and new features as Wifi were introduced into the game as well as new Pokémon, but the core of the game is still the same and I enjoy to see some of the old Pokémon again.
Dragon Quest IV on the other hand is a classic RPG, and it makes a lot of fun to see the story of the different characters you are playing. I only reached chapter 2, but I will finally play it to the end. The only minus point is that the stylus and touchscreen are not used at all in this game. Maybe this will be improved in the next Dragon Quest game – I haven’t tested it, but I am really looking forward to this.

Yesterday started season 2 of the TV show “The Mentalist“. I only saw some few episodes and I really liked it. The only problem was the crazy always changing times it was screened by ORF. But Alex and I decided to watch it from the beginning after we have finished “Damages” – a great show with Glenn Close. It started a bit lengthy but it’s getting more and more interesting in the end.
