During the last years when I spent a lot of time in the internet, I have got a number of nicknames like Xena, Phiola, Aiyasha or Ankantoiel. Some I have only used for World of Warcraft, and others in boards and other discussion groups.

Behind all these synonyms stands Carmen Brenner, a 23 year old student of Computer science of the University of Innsbruck. Finishing my aster studies is my goal at the moment, and hopefully afterwards I can begin a new episode in my life, to be independent from my parents and to visit all places I always wanted to see (and some to see again). To be honest I hate my studies, and so the work I am currently doing is so wonderful compared to learning and to writing exams. Not that I don’t learn anything at work but I really like what I do.

Interests, favorites and things I really like

One of the things I am (or better was) really passionate about is World of Warcraft, a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) that takes place in Azeroth a fantasy world with elves, men, gnomes, orcs, trolls, undeath, and a lot of horrible monsters.

In this game I can be found on the server Aegwynn-EU where I am playing a nightelf druid named Aiyasha and a gnome warlock named Phiola. This world was my “second home” for nearly 3 years, and I have made some good friends there, especially in my guild “Wächter der Innbrücke”. I am not only playing online games but also the pen and paper roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons and recently also Vampires: The Requiem.

Another hobby of mine is watching Animes (Prince of Tennis, The Vision of Escaflowne) and reading Mangas, Fantasy and Vampire books, e.g. the Belgariad and the Malloreon of David Eddings, and Chronicles of a Vampire from Anne Rice. Beside this I love Tolkien’s world Arda where also most of my fanfictions take place. This was, is and will be my greatest passion ever.

Writing stories (mostly fanfictions) has become a very important part of my life, that allows me to switch into another role and to do something extraordinary. Well, all my stories are a part of me. They have the same chaotic character that I have.

Since I can think off, I always adored Janne Ahonen. That adoration became not late a big desire to visit Finland, and when this dream became true I was sure that I will come back for another visit, or to live there. My favourite city was always Lahti with its modern city life, the beautiful sea and the quiet but nice people. It’s very sad that Janne finished his career this spring but he has reached more victories in the last 10 years than most nations in a 100 years.
