Armory Light Relaunched

Armory LightRight before our holidays, we felt that it was time and so Armory Light was relaunched. We were working long for that day (and we often had to postpone it ;) ), but I think the site looks now better than ever and it offers a lot of new features. So waiting was profitable.

Beside character ratings and talent calculators for each class, Armory Light got its own Model Viewer. It is also available as 3D Desktop Viewer – a very cool tool that allows you to watch items of your choice on your desktop. I am very proud to say that we are the first WoW site that offers such a tool and I can promise that it will be expanded in the near future.

One of my favorite features that came with the relaunch is the “Powered by” script that allows you to add tooltips to item and character links. It is very easy to use and nice to look at. For example, I can link to my characters Aiyasha and Phiola, or to this very cool old school Vanilla item, Finkle’s Lava Dredger.

Wildsau-Staffel

Wildsaurennen 2008 - ZieleinlaufWell, a week ago the 10th International Wildsau-Staffel took place in Praxmar. The weather was so great. Here in Austria we call such a weather a “Kaiser Wetter”, and of course the athletes were as impressive as the Kaiser. It is incredible that they run with skiis on a mountain in less than 50 minutes and move down in less than 5 minutes. They are really crazy and the name “Wildsau” is the nicest name I have for them. :blackeye:

But I think the more interesting thing is the new project of Alex. He had the idea to create a “WoW Armory Light” that offers the common character sheets without that overload that comes with the official armory. He worked some time on it and at least I have the opinion that it looks really nice (some things are not styled until now). You can find this site under: http://www.armory-light.com.

Armory LightIt has grown a lot in the last week and until now over 12.500 characters are cached. I know that he plans to integrate also stuff like character rating (as Be Imba! offers it) and the possibility to cache more than one profile of a character. For example, a druid can cache his cat equip, his bear equip and additionally his heal equip and his spell damage equip. For me a really good idea. That makes it much more easier to compare the different equipments.

To finish this post I simple have to say that today I will make a journey to Middle-Earth. Unfortunately not really but in form of the Lord of the Rings Concert. I am really excited. Also because some guys of the Austrian Tolkien Society will be there that I have seen the last time some years ago. So it will be a nice meeting and great event, for sure. :hug:
